LT-UNBRICK – PCM Power & Ground Connection Guide

LT-UNBRICK PCM Power Connections

The diagram above illustrates the required power and ground connections for powering a 1996–1997 GM LT1 PCM outside the vehicle during the LT-UNBRICK recovery process. Using a regulated 12V DC power supply, connect the blue PCM connector at Pin 1 (Ground) and Pin 3 (12V Ignition). On the black PCM connector, connect Pin 6 (Ground), Pins 15 and 31 (12V Battery), and Pin 30 (12V Ignition).

All 12V Ignition and 12V Battery connections can be connected to the same regulated 12V power source if needed. Separate ignition and battery power supplies are not required for bench-top recovery operations.

These connections can be made using the optional LT-UNBRICK Wiring Harness or a compatible bench setup, eliminating the need for a complete vehicle wiring harness.

Important: Always verify connector orientation, pin locations, and polarity before applying power. Ensure the power supply can provide sufficient current for PCM operation. Incorrect connections may permanently damage the PCM.
